Frankfurt, October 28th

Both Carol Didion and Chris Wingham romped home at the Frankfurt marathon on October 28th, and in doing so raised ?2,200 in sponsorship for Asha.lu.Chris succeeded in running a sub four hour, coming in comfortably at 3 hours and 48 minutes. Carol Didion also exceeded her target time, finishing the marathon in 5 hours and 30 minutes. Both individuals had trained for the marathon in four months or less, showing just how much can be accomplished with discipline and strength of purpose.Both Carol and Chris were justifiably proud of their achievements, and their dedication is an inspiration to others. Asha.lu would like to take this opportunity to thank both and congratulate them on finishing within their target times.

Ironman raises another? 2,200 for Asha.lu

After 13 hours and 50 minutes, Dermot Doyle has completed Ironman UK and simultaneously raising ?2,200 along the way with the help of the staff of JPM Luxembourg. The course, considered one of the hardest of the Ironman races, begins in the picturesque village of Sherborne and winds its way around 160 miles of the rolling Dorset countryside."I'm just very, very happy to have made it to the end, and also really satisfied to have been able to do it in under fourteen hours," he said. "I was particularly worried about the swim, having not done a mass start before, but I just placed myself at the rear of the crowd and that kept me out of trouble."
